Who knew that by creating collages as a kid, I'd be standing on the shoulders of greatness, such as Louis Armstrong who made some of the jazziest collection of collages that you can see spread out over the walls of Flushing Town Hall .

It started with an assemblage of pictures on the wall of my dorm room featuring my family and friends on them that I was missing while out-of-town and at school. It transferred to doing them on paper and then, on the computer.

The visual editing, I didn't know I had it in me until one day, way back when I started my musical career as a rapper that sang and was at the studio recording, as the technicians were doing the technical stuff, I found myself combing through a book shelf about HTML. Interested to know what it was, I sat there reading and taking notes for the few minutes I had to myself. Who knew getting better acclimated with filling the space of a frame, would soon become, the collaging of moving images.

Melodiaz Creations is a NY-based visual arts company founded by vocalist, author and Medgar Evers College Magna Cum Laude Alumni, Stephanie Jeannot.  Our mission is Jazz, Identity and Race! Our goal is to bring an awareness to the black, jazz histories of America and the world as well as sharing how those historical icons of America's cultural contribution to the world has influenced some of today;s undiscovered talents that deserve to be heard.
